Wow, hard to believe it’s already August! August always feels like summer’s last Hail Mary—the final push to squeeze in a last-minute trip or finish up those ongoing projects. 

We took a quick weekend trip up to Quebec City recently, and let me tell you: French Canadians love their stairs! Holy cow, my calves were burning by the end of the weekend. That said, there is so much to see and do up there—the kids, my wife, and I were thoroughly entertained the whole time. 

Now it’s back to work, and we are down to the home stretch! Last Light will soon be ready for pre-order, with plans to hit the shelves early to mid-September. Mark your calendars for our official Launch Party at Brady’s on October 3rd, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. 

Also, don't forget: I’ll be at Bob’s Seafood on August 23rd, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM for Books and Brews! I’ll be joining several other local Maine authors to chat, sign, and sell books. Hope to see you there!
