It is such a full-circle moment to be returning to my hometown of Boothbay Harbor for an author talk. This town isn’t just where I grew up; it is the living, breathing backdrop of my books, and its rugged coastline and hardworking spirit are woven into every chapter I write. Coming back to share my work in the very place that inspired it feels less like a professional event and more like a long-overdue homecoming with family.
There is a unique kind of magic in standing before a room of people who truly understand the "blue-collar" soul of my stories because they live it every day. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to discuss my journey at the Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library and to connect with the community that shaped my voice. Being able to look out at the harbor that fueled my imagination and see the faces of those who call it home is an honor I don’t take lightly—I’m truly thrilled to be back.
